עשר אגורות (2¢):
טוב, אז קודם כל נראה לי שרבים מכם יחשבו שכתבה זו לא יפה.

כנראה שלא תאמינו לי כשאגיד לכם שזאת לא אמורה להיות. אבל אני טוען לכם ככך בכל מקרה.

כתבה זו כמו כל הכתבות הדומות שלי, נכתבה באהבה ודאגה לאחים שלי. מסיבה זו, לא העליתי תמונה של בן מסאפי, כדי להדגיש שזו לא תקיפה אישית עליו.

אלא זוהי תגובה לגישה הכללית של סטודנטים יהודים אמריקאים כפי שמתבטאות במילים של בן מסאפי.

תגובתי היא עוד כתבה שמנסה לשכנע את האחים שלי - סטודנטים במיוחד - לעזוב את ארה"ב ולעלות למולדתם האמיתית היחידה, ישראל.

עברה שנה מאז שכתבתי את "סטודנטים יהודים באוניברסיטות בארה״ב, איפה חגגתם בחג פסח השנה?" ואת "כל הכבוד לאלי סיבס סטודנט ופעיל יהודי בארה״ב".

בעבר השאימו אותי שאני זורע פחד. הפעם אני מנסה לכתוב בגישה אחרת. אבל תזהרו. הטיעון שלי מבוסס על התורה. אם זה לא מתחבר אלכם, אז אני לא בטוח שאני יכול לעזור כלם. וכן, רובכם לא חושבים שאתם צריכים עזרה. האמת היא שהתורה ההצדקה היחידה - אני מדגיש, היחידה - לעם ישראל להתיישב בארץ ישראל.

אל תכעסו ותיעלבו בגלל זה אלא תעצרו, תנשמו עמוק, תנו לזה להקלט, ולכו ללמוד על ההצהרה הזו. בינתיים, אני פשוט כותב בשביל היהודים ההמשכים לחקור את מורשתם כולל התרה, בעקבות פיגועי שמיני עצרת תש"פ.

אולי הרבה מכם לא אוהבים את שימושי במילה "יהודי" כדי לתאר את לוח השנה במקום "עברי". בין מעריצי הנשיא טראמפ, ובין מעדיפים את קמלה האריס, הרבה יהודים בארה״ב מאמינים מאוד בלהיות אמריקאים גאים, בנוסף להיות יהודים גאים.

אתם מתחברים ללוח הגרגוריאני כמו שאתם מתחברים ללוח העברי, אולי אפילו יותר.

חלק מכם אפילו מזדהים כדתיים מודרניים.

יש גם מכם בארץ שגם מרגישים ככה על לוחות השנה. והרבה מכם מזדהים דתיים לאומיים. אתם מתבוללים בתרבות המערבית ברמה יותר ממה שאתם מוכנים להודות.

אני כבר מתיחס אלכם בכתבות אחרות ומתכוון להמשיך. אז, אני ממשיך לכתוב על יהודים אמריקאים בלבד.

כל הכבוד ליהודי אמריקה על האומץ לקבל את הנראות הגוברת שלכם כיהודים, במקום לברוח ממנה. רנאה לי שעבשיו רובכם מבינים שאתם לא יכולים להמלט מזה בכל מקרה. גם לא יכלו היהודים הגרמנים של שנות ה-30 וה-40, אשר הזדהו כגרמנים גאים. חלקם היו בנישואי תערובת. חלקם הלכו לבית הכנסת בימי ראשון (יום קודש בשבוע לנוצרים). וגם היו יהודים גרמנים שזלזלו ביהודים לא גרמנים.

הנה. כתבתי משהו שרבים מכם מאמינים שזורע הפחדה.

ועכשיו אנו מגיעים לבדיקת המציאות שגם תעצבן אותכם:

"אל תוותרו"
אין ויתור על משהו אם זה לא שלכם לכתחילה. ורבים מכם מזדהים כציונים. ובכל זאת, להרבה מכם לעולם לא תהיה לכם שום כוונה לעלות לארץ ישראל? כמה מכם אפילו שקלו עליה?

הציונות היא האמונה שארץ ישראל היא מולדתו של עם ישראל. אז אם אתם יהודים, אז למה אתם עדיין מתגוררים חוצה לארץ?

הוועד היהודי-האמריקאי [AJC], הוא דוגמה מצוינת על ארגון יהודי אמריקאי שלא ציוני כל-כך למרות שיהודים חושבים שכן.

הציונות המתבטאת על ידי יהודי היושב בכורסה שבסלון בחו״ל אינה ציונות בכלל.

אין זכות לאף ארגון יהודי אמריקאי להזדהות כציוני אם לא מעודד עליה של יהדי אמריקה. אין לו זכות לקיום אפילו אם לא מדבר על עלייה המונית כברירה למאבק באנטישמיות שנאת ישראל.

"תדעו שיש דרך לצאת מזה"
כן. עזבו את המקלט הזמני של ארצות הלא יהודיות. כן. כתבתי את זה. ארצות הברית הן שלהם. לא שלנו.

מה היא הבשורה העיקרית? האוניברסיטות גם לא שלכם. לא אוניברסיטה של פנסילבניה, לא הרווארד, וגם לא UCLA איפה אני למדתי.

אני לא יכול להאשים אותכם בגלל מה שארגונים כמו AJC חינכו אותכם להאמין.

AJC עומד על זכותה של ישראל להתקיים בשלום ובביטחון; מתעמת עם אנטישמיות, לא משנה מה המקור...

נו? מה אם עלייה? אף אזכור אחד של עלייה כפתרון?

המשימה של AJC היא לשפר את רווחתם של העם היהודי וישראל, ולקדם זכויות אדם וחשיבות עקרונות דמוקרטיים בארה״ב וסביב...

שוב אירגון יהודי אמריקאי מדבר על חשיבות עקרונות "דמוקרטיים", כלומר עקרונות הלניסטיים.

נראה לי שהרבה מכם לא מבינים כבר. אז אני משאיר את הנושא הזה לפעם אחרת. או אם אתם מתעניינים אז אפשר לקרוא את הכתבות שלי על חג חנוכה כדי שתבינו את דעותיי על "דמוקרטיה" ועל הדמוקרטיה מזויפת של ישראל.

כשאני למדתי באוניברסיטה אמרו לנו שסטודנטים של אוניברסיטת קליפורניה נבחרים מתוך 12 האחוזים העליונים של בוגרי התיכון. די חכם, נכון?

אז למה אתם, הסטודנטים היהודים-אמריקאים של היום, לא יכולים לקרוא את הכתובת על הקיר?

מסקנה

• חנכו אותכם להאמין שאתם קודם כל אמריקאים, או שהזהות האמריקאית והיהודית שלכם באותה הרמה.

• ולכן, מובן לכם שארה״ב שייכת לכם בדיוק כפי שהיא שייכת לכל אזרח לא-יהודי. יש ביניכם שאפילו אוהבים להזכיר לכולם את תרומתם הרבת של יהודים לקידמה האמריקאית, כהוכחה לזכותכם האמריקאית מלידה.

• חנכו אותכם להבין מעוותת של מהי הציונות, שאריזת המזוודות שלכם ועלייה למטוס היא רק ליהודים אחרים לעשות. חלקכם מאמינים שדירות הקיץ המפוארות שלכם בישראל מוכיחות את האמון הציוני שלכם. הדירות שלכם שם כשיגיע הזמן לעבור להן, וש פעילות ההסברה והתרומות הכספיות שלכם שוות ערך להשקעה של הדם, הזיעה והדמעות שלנו שמתגוררים בארץ, ושומרים אותה בשבילכם.

טוב אז תפסיקו לנאום בבקשה, ותעלו על המטוס.

Esser Agaroth (2¢):
OK. First off, I know that many of you will automatically see this as mean-spirited.

You probably will not believe me, when I tell you that it is not. But I am saying so anyway.

This is not meant to be mean. This post, as all of my similar posts, are written out of love and concern for my fellow Jews. For this reason, I have not uploaded a picture of Ben Messafi, in order to emphasize that this is not a personal attack on him.

It is a response to the general attitude of American Jewish students as expressed by Ben Messafi.

And the response is this, yet another post, attempting to convince my fellow Jews - in this case students - to leave the U. S., and to relocate to your only, true homeland of Israel.

I has been a year since I wrote Jewish University Students In The U. S., Where Did You Celebrate Passover? and High Praise For Eli Tsives, Jewish Student and Activist.

In the past, have been criticized for fear-mongering. I will do my best to take another tack this time. However, be warned, my argument is based on Torah. If that does not do it for you, then I cannot think of anything else I can do. After all, the Torah is the only - I repeat, only - justification for the Jewish People to lay claim to the Land of Israel.

Instead of getting angry and offended because of this, take a breath, let it sink in, and go investigate this statement. In the meantime, I will just piggyback on the increased popularity of among Jews to explore their heritage, in the aftermath of the Shemini Atzereth 5784 attacks, murders, and kidnappings.

Here is your first lesson. Shemini Atzereth 5784 is Jewish for October 7, 2023.

Many of you will take this last statement as talking down to you, condescending if you will. Just bear with me. Some of you knew this fact already. But, so many more of you did not.

Perhaps even more of you will take issue with my translation to "Jewish," as opposed to "Hebrew." Whether you are supporters of President Trump, or still believed you should take a chance on Kamala Harris, so many of you believe very strongly in being proud Americans, in addition to being proud Jews.

You feel an equal amount of affinity to the Gregorian calendar, as you do to the Hebrew calendar, perhaps even more. It is, after all, more familiar.

Some of you even identify as Modern Orthodox.

There are also those of you in Israel who feel the same way about the calendars, as well as everything else that goes with them. Many of you identify as Religious Zionists, who are more assimilated into Western culture than you care to admit.

But I already address you in other posts, and do so often. So, I will stick to American Jews in this post.

I commend American Jews on your courage for embracing your increased visibility as Jews, instead of running away from it. I think that, by now, most of you realize that you cannot escape it anyway. Neither could the German Jews of the 1930s and 40s who were viewed themselves as proud Germans. Some intermarried. Some went to synagogue on Sundays. Still others looked down upon those Jews who were not German.

There. I did it. I wrote something that many of you believe is fear-mongering.

And now for the reality check, which will make equally upset.

״Do not back down״
It is not backing down when it doesn't belong to you in the first place. And so many of you see yourselves as Zionists. Yet how many of you have no intention of ever actually residing in Israel? How many of you have never entertained the idea?

That is one aspect of Zionism, believing that Israel is the homeland of the Jewish People. So, if you are a Jew, then what are you still doing residing outside of Israel?

The American Jewish Committee [AJC], the is a great example of an American Jewish organization which Jews think is Zionist, but is not.

Armchair Zionism is not Zionism.

No American Jewish organization has any business existing, unless it at least mentions mass aliyah (Jewish immigration to Israel) as an option for combatting anti-Semitism Jew hatred.

״Know there is a way out of this״
Yeah. Leave the temporary refuge of the lands of the non-Jews. Yes. I wrote that. The United States theirs. Not ours.

Bottomline? It’s not yours. Not Penn, not Harvard, not my alma matre of UCLA either.

I can't blame you because orgs like the AJC have educated you to believe this.

American Jewish Committee (AJC) stands up for Israel’s right to exist in peace and security; confronts antisemitism, no matter the source...

Yeah, what about aliyah? Not one mention of aliyah as the solution?

AJC's mission is to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel, and to advance human rights and democratic values in the United States and around...

Here we go again with "democratic" ie Hellenist values. OK. I've lost you. I leave this issue alone for now. Or you can read my posts about Hanukkah.to get a sense of my views on "democracy," or in Israel's case deMOCKracy.

When I was in college, the understanding was that University of California students were drawn from the top 12 percent of high school graduates. Pretty smart, huh?

So, then why are you, the American Jewish students of today, unable to read the writing on the wall?

Conclusion

• You have been brought up to believe that you are Americans first, or that your American and Jewish identities are on equal footing.

• And so, the United States belongs to you as much as it belongs to any non-Jew. There are some of you who even like to invoke the countless contributions of Jews to American progress, as proof of your American birthright.

• You have been brought up with a distorted understanding of what Zionism actually is, that packing your suitcases and getting on a plane is for other Jews. Some of you believe that your fancy, summer apartments in Israel afford you your Zionist cred. Your apartment is there for when the time comes. Your hasbara (Israel advocacy) and monetary donations are on the same level as the investment of the blood, sweat, and tears of those of us who actual reside in the Land, making sure that American Jews still have homeland to go to, for when you and your parents are finally ready.

Now, would please stop making speeches, and get on the plane?
