G-d runs the world. Not any American president. But Harris would have given money to Iran and given political cover to Iran. Trump won’t

I am not saying that I think that Trump is the savior of Israel. The point is that Harris would have been a very very bad force vis a vis Israel. Very bad. Iran funded October 7. America gave Iran money. Not just money and lifting sanctions because there are times thar giving evil countries makes sense.

Israel hit Iran. Biden is president. What did Iran do? Nothing. The Biden—Harris-Obama policy says that America must appease Iran because it is so strong.

Iran is not strong. American backing of Iran makes it strong. Iran subjugates the Iranian people. Propping up Iran has no purpose that isn’t evil.

I hear what you’re saying. But I still think it’s extremely likely that it’s a good thing that Harris lost.

I remember when Jews suggested helping Obama win, so that it will get so bad for Jews that they'll finally pick up and leave. That didn't happen. I don't think that's happening now either. I am only pointing out that Jews have lost focus. Our home is Israel, not the U. S.

Just like the dangers of Christian "friends" are more subtle and cunning, so is the danger of Trump. Jews will get more complacent and thus more committed to the U. S. instead of Israel.

I can’t really agree with that. As a Jew who believes in G-d. I believe that G-d is our protector, not any American president.

As far as Jews who don’t currently believe in G-d, 70% went to Harris

https://jewishdems.org/the-jewish-vote-came-through-for-democrats/

Jews voted for Harris because they truly believe that they are Democrats before they are Jews. This is hard to believe because October 7 targeted left wing Jews. Left wing Jews were butchered, Jews who loved Gaza, Jews who didn’t observe Simchas Torah or Shabbos, Jews who attend raves. The antisemitism on college campuses was again directed at left wing Jews and the physical safety of their children. The appalling red hand pins were Hollywood: left-wing Jews again. The soccer fans.

When asked, Jews voting for Harris had nothing to say. Safety of LGBTQ people. Who do you think is at more risk?

And the point is, that it would be nice for US Jews to vote keeping Israel in mind. Like which candidate might get the hostages released.

But there is also the matter of the physical safety of Jews in America. Which they ignore. Despite 13 months of Democrats standing behind all kinds of antisemitism. It’s astounding that some people still think these people are their friends. They put on keffiyehs, put on masks and shout that they want Jews to die and they still think that not only should they vote for them, but these are great people to marry.

What could the terrorists do to make people change their minds?

G-d protect us; they have done it already.

So yeah, believing in Trump might be misguided, but the support for Harris is almost a testament to a person not identifying as a Jew.

I never heard anyone worth anything advocate that anyone who valued the existence of Israel voting for Obama. His 2008 campaign made it entirely evident where his sympathies were. It’s not truthful to say that someone prioritized Israel and because of it voted for Obama. They voted for Obama because something else was more important than Israel.

Jews voted Harris because abortion is more important to them than all 3- the existence of Israel, the elimination or reduction of terrorist violence in Israel, and the safety of Jews in America. It is hard to imagine being so far away from traditional Jewish values that abortions are important but Jewish safety is not.

It’s not slightly off; it’s way off. Way off.

Achashveirosh took off his ring, so to speak, but they still haven’t woken up.

I pray that the love we have for each other and the recognition of G-d that some of us have is enough for G-d to have compassion on His people, our people.

But I don't disagree with you.

Let me just put it more simply, my message to all [real] Jews in the U. S.

Leave the U. S. (if at all possible) It's not your country.

Move to Israel. It is you country.

I would say that we are in exile. No country is our country. We stay at the pleasure of whoever is currently in power. Israel has an innate holiness and is our ancestral home but it is also exile.

Israel has different religious dynamics than America. One cannot live on the line between modox and Haredi in Israel. There’s the draft, first of all, and so much else. Our family is in America. I don’t delude myself that there is a promise of safety or that we are not ultimately strangers here. But there are more factors than that. Personally I don’t believe in ראשית צמיחת גאולתנו

To comment on a very complicated topic.

The main idea of Israel to me is that this is where my brothers live and they must be kept safe.

I am sure you have heard of “Harda”l,” which is the line between Haredi and Religious Zionist. I suppose how modern Jews are in their Modern Orthodoxy will determine how obtainable a balance is between Haredi and RZ.

Regarding the draft, I will remind you that… https://esseragaroth.substack.com/p/the-haredi-draft-issue-has-never-been_9
